Set in a hamlet a few hundred yards from Blair Castle, Old Blair started life as an inn, and now is a comfortable, centrally-heated homely lodge surrounded by landscaped parklands, organic farmland and miles of way-marked trails.

With sash windows, an open fire in the drawing room and an oil-fired Aga in the kitchen, the lodge is filled with period charm.

As well as the Aga, the fully equipped kitchen has an electic oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge, while the utility room has a second fridge-freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

On the ground floor, the annexe area is perfect for older children with a separate sitting room with television, video and DVD player as well as a twin bedroom with ensuite shower room.

Sleeping up to ten guests in the main lodge, and two in the connected annexe, Old Blair is the ideal lodge for a family break, and is always popular for castle wedding guests and festive family gatherings.

Old Blair has stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the ruins of St. Brides Kirk. Even a short walk from the lodge will provide plenty of opportunities to see ponies, deer, sheep, cattle and red squirrels.
